FAQ
For Who Is This For?
From my experience and from the experience of many others, the practice/therapy of mindfulness can be an important tool for dramatically increasing well-being. We spend so much energy on internal struggles, attempting to run away from our own feelings, thoughts, and emotions. This practice is useful when practitioners are ready and willing to take the opposite route, not running away, but observing the experience within in order to make peace.
The practice is effective in dealing with anger, anxiety, obsessive thinking and worry, sleep difficulties, transition periods, breakups, and other unpleasant emotions and habits.
Who Is It Not for?
The effectiveness of the practice/therapy is dependent on the ability and willingness to contact those feelings, emotions, and thoughts we usually try to suppress and avoid. Sooner or later, if you direct your attention inside, you will meet those feelings. Therefore, this practice is not for everyone. In cases of acute distress, in which it is better not to come in contact with these feelings, and in cases there is a danger of losing control, it is advisable to turn to a social worker, psychologist, or psychiatrist. If you have any doubt, you are welcomed to contact me to discuss your concerns.
About Online Meetings
Online meetings are almost identical to regular ones. The meetings are held at a predetermined time through any software that allows for video conferencing, through a computer or a smartphone.
How Much Do You Charge for a Meeting?
I use the traditional method of Danna (giving or generosity in the Pali language), which means practitioners give as much as they wish or can afford. If this is uncomfortable for you, I can give you a range to choose from. If you are worried you will not be able to afford the cost, do not hesitate to contact me regardless.
What is the format of the sessions?
The first session is dedicated to evaluating your needs; the manner by which the practice/therapy can help; and the degree to which it may be effective in tackling each of your needs. Thereafter, the sessions typically occur once a week, and last fifty minutes each.
Can I talk to you on the phone or by mail?
Absolutely. Contact me regarding any doubt or question.
